USDA – NIFA

Agriculture in the Classroom is a national program of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) in its National Institute for Food and Agriculture (NIFA). NIFA replaced the Cooperative State Research, Extension and Education Services (CSREES) agency in 2008.

NIFA is one of four USDA agencies that make up its Research, Education and Economics (REE) mission area. The other three agencies are:

  • Agricultural Research Service (ARS)
  • Economics Research Service (ERS)
  • National Agricultural Statistics Services (NASS)

To learn more, visit NIFA’s website.
