National Ag Day

National Ag DayNational Ag Day is an annual celebration coordinated by the Agriculture Council of America to recognize the important role agriculture plays in our daily lives. We rely on agriculture for our food, fuel and fiber and this celebration is a great time to learn more about the work our farmers and ag-business professionals do each day.

Each year Wisconsin Ag in the Classroom hosts a drawing/coloring contest. This past year’s drawing contest focused on students creating a thank you card for farmers.

The National Ag Day contest deadline has been extended to May 1. Reading event reports are due June 1.
