Wisconsin Ag in the Classroom in conjunction with the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Foundation offers matching grants of up to $500 to groups sponsoring programs or projects that promote agricultural literacy. Grants will be awarded in amounts up to $500 to applicants that secure or provide equal matching funds for the proposed project. Grants may be awarded for less than the full amount requested, based upon the discretion of the judges and the funds available. The budget section of the application provides space for detailing the amount requested and how it will be used.

“Wisconsin Ag in the Classroom’s matching grant program made it possible for us to implement a free educational program for urban First Nations youth in an effort to reconnect students with the land and farming while focusing on Native American rituals and traditions. You could watch little light bulbs go on as the students learned how to grow their own food.”

- Kristin Gies, 2019 matching grant recipient
